History of the Firm

Allenbridge Group was founded in 1984 to provide independent research and analysis on fund managers and portfolio advice to clients for more information on all the services offered by Allenbridge Group please visit our home page. Allenbridge has been conducting research on hedge funds and funds of hedge funds since the mid-1980s as part of the process of allocating client assets to alternative investments.

In 2000, AHI was established as an independent division focusing solely on hedge fund research. Over the years the business model was adapted to not only provide investor research, but also to act as a hedge fund rating agency, conducting research on behalf of hedge funds seeking to differentiate themselves through a third party assessments. AHI also provides investment consulting services in conjunction with the Wealth Management Division, to investors seeking exposure to hedge funds or bespoke hedge fund research.

Although, Allenbridge wealth management clients still have access to the research conducted by AHI, the division now has its own clients including: institutional investors, financial intermediaries and private equity companies, as well as hedge fund managers on the rating agency side.
